The 1900 Jackson County Census list Elizabeth has having 8 children a nd s ix living. At that time Matilda Jane Hoschar would have died. I co me acro ss a birth for this family listing a child as Andrew J. Hosch ar being bo rn January 13, 1866, but could be Andrew Thomas put on reco rd wrong then c orrected, or could have died then name the next child by t he same first na me.

Andrew died at the age of 59 Dropsy (heart). He is buried at Antioch Ce me tery on Cow Run near Cottageville, WV. His wife married twice after h is de ath. First to William H. Notes by MHF

In the 1870 census it shows Francis Brandon or Brannon living with the Hal l's Philip was 32 wife Lauisa V. 26 she may have been a (Brannon) the ch il dren Lucinda 8, Joseph F. 6 Nancy A. 3, this is on page 136 of Jacks on Co. census at Library. The census list an Andrew L. as being 4 and in t he 1880 census he was 14 so this must be another Andrew J. or L. It lis ts h is birthday as being different from Andrew Thomas (Tom) Hoschar. I ne ver heard anyone saying there was two Andrew in this family. He may have d ied when small. The rest of the children my dad talked about or cou ld be an error in records as I have found several of them.
In the 1870 Census Andrew J. was 34 Elizabeth was 24.

In the 1880 Jackson Co. Census has Elizabeth as the daughter of Francis Br andon list no mother.

In the 1920 Census of Jackson Co. show Elizabeth widow age 74 housekeep er and son Tom 56 widower as a tenant in the home of Nancy Belle Ra rd on 56 head of household divorced. Nancy lived on Cow Run. When Elizabe th died they lived on my grandfather's property and Tom helped on the fa rm living in a small four room house on what they always called the Ide D urst place. In the census has name spelled Huscher vs Hoschar

In the 1900 census show her as 60 a widow had 8 children 6 Living being bo rn in May 1840. but marriage gave her age as 18 so there is a difference w ho knows for sure which is true. I have been told the family Bible was bur ned in a house fire.
The 1920 census gave her age as 74 a widow give her name as Huscher n ot Hu tchinson.
At time of marriage in Mason Co. to William H. Sayre she w as 61 he w as 72 in 1906.

She died at age 80 of Plural pneumonia.
    Notes by MHF
The 1900 census shows she had 10 children eight living.

The 1910 census shows she had 13 children seven living.

    Notes:
If he served in the war of 1812 he most likely was born before 1803.
During the War of 1812 Jackson Co. was part of Kanawha, Mason, and Wood Co units.
Fredrick S. T. Hoschar must have had a different mother from the rest. There is so many years between him and the next oldest child. He would have been born before his mother by census she was born about 1800-1805.

The 1840 Census list one between 0-5 and one between 30-40 males and fema le as one between 10-15 one between 20-30.

Fredrick and Catharine had only the one child, Andrew John Hoschar if more they would have died before Andrew was born. Headstone indicates year of birth was 1800, he would have been a very young soldier to have served in the War of 1812.
