    Notes:
    Monroe Forest Morris, 81, of Mineral Wells, died Friday at Camden-lark memorial Hospital.
    He was a lifetime member of American Legion 15,DAV Post 6, VFW Mineral Wells, Eagles 2307, and the Mineral Wells Senior Citizens.
    Morris was a veteran of world War II, serving in the 101st Airborne Screaming eagles, where he received a purple heart at the Battle of the Bulge,. he was a meat cutter by trade and retired from the Wood County Schools.
    he was born Jan. 2 1920 in Wood County, son of the late Elius and Josephine Melrose Morris.
    He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Hazel Hoschar Pifer Morris; two sons, James Monroe Morris and Arnold L. Pifer both of Mineral Wells; two daughters, Linda L. Holmes of Mineral Wells, and Donna J. Keith of Columbus, Ohio; two sisters Barbara Ruble of Parkersburg and Mary Daggett of Mineral wells; five grandchildren, Robert W., Keith Jr., Milissa G. and Holly Pifer, Julie Ann Holmes, James Morris Jr., Amy and Andrea Sutton; two great-grandchildren Samantha and Robert W. Keith III.
    He is preceded in death by three brothers, one sister, and a grandson Arnold L. Pifer II.
    Funeral will be 2:30 P.M. Monday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Bernard (Dobby) Thrash officiating, Burial will be in Mt. Zoin Baptist Cemetery, Mineral Wells.

    Hazel V. Hoschar Morris, formerly of Mineral Wells passed away December 8, 2005 at Eagle Pointe Nursing Home in Parkersburg. She was born in Wood County March 3, 1925 a daughter of the late William Benjamin Hoschar and Lula Casto Hoschar. She was a member of Big Tygart Baptist Church, clerk at Montgomery Wards Company, and member of The Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxillary #2307.

    Survivors include: two daughters; Donna Keith and Linda Holmes both of Mineral Wells, two sons; Arnold L. Pifer of Parkersburg and James M. Morris of Mineral Wells, two brothers; Arnold W. Hoschar of Parkersburg and Ernest C. Hoshar of Vienna, five grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, nine great- grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband Monroe F. Morris, brother J.O. Hoschar, sister Margaret Fugate, and grandson Arnold L. "Buddy" Pifer II.

    Services will be held Monday 11:00 AM at The Leavitt Funeral Home in Par ke rsburg with Reverend Rufus E. Hoalcraft officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery Mineral Wells. Visitation will be Sunday 1 -4 & 6 -8 PM at the funeral home.

    Hazel was a second cousin of mine and I remember her so much from my child hood days. I know she will be sadly missed by many. We all know she is in a much better place. May God continue to bless each and every one of her family and may He always hold you in the hollow of His hand.

    WILLIAM B. HOSCHAR
    William Benjamin Hoschar, 91 of Mineral Wells, died at St. Joseph's Hospital, Parkersburg, Sept. 19, 1987.
    He was born in Jackson County, a son of the late John and Martha Rhodes Hoschar. He attended Big Tygart Baptist Church and was retired fr om US Quarry Tile Co. after 40 years of service.
    His is survived by his former wife, Lula Casto Hoschar; three son s, Arnold W. Hoschar of Medina, J. O. Hoschar of Parkersburg, Earne st C. Hosch ar of Vienna; two daughters, Mrs. Burton (Margaret) Fugate of Franklin Ohio, Mrs. Monroe (Hazel) Morris of Mineral Wells, with wom he made his home; 14 grandchildren 17 great-grandchildren; one great-g reat-grandchild; o ne brother Phillip Hoschar of Walker; two sisters, Flora Barr Casto and Ivy Hoschar Smith, both of Parkersburg.
    He was preceded in death by one son and one daughter, two brothers three sister, one grandson, Arnold Pifer II; and one great-grandson, Joe Lynn Hoschar.
    Services will be 1 P.M. today (Wednesday) at the Leavitt Funeral Hom e, Parkersburg, with the Rev. Otis E. Waybright officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen North Cemetery.

    Lula Bell Casto Hoschar, 96 formerly of Vienna, died Tuesday June 2 0, 19 95 at Worthington Manor.

    She was born in Jackson Co. WV a daughter of the late Asbury and Lo na Pu rnell Casto. She retired from Querry Tile Company, after 35 yea rs of servi ce. She was the past president of Eagles Auxiliary 2307 of Pa rkersburg a nd was a member of Stephenson Memorial Church.
    Survivors include; three sons, Arnold Hoschar of Murraysville, J. O. " Ju nior"Hoschar of Parkersburg and Ernest C. Hoschar of Vienna; two daugh te rs Margaret Fugate of Franklin, OH and Hazel Morris of Mineral Well s; 14 G randchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchild ren a nd four step-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, William Benjamin Hoscha r; t wo brothers; one sister; one infant son; one infant daughter; one gra nd ch ild; and one great-grand child, Arnold Lee "Buddy" Pifer.

    Services sere held Friday at Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg, wi th t he Rev. Bill Haynes and the Rev, Teresa Dean officiating. Burial w as in E vergreen Cemetery North.
    On internet some one had his name as Charles Allen Fultz.
    Also had him marring a Edith May Powell. Dec 28, 1938 in Flushing, OH.
    I came across the middle name as Avis. Not sure where I found th is no w. I am bad about not putting where I get some of the informati on at t he time.
