    L. Louise Christian, 56, of Cottageville, W.Va., passed away June 9, 2010, at her home.

    She was born Oct. 26, 1953 in Evans, W.Va., a daughter of Ruby (Baker) Donohew of Evans, and the late Basil Donohew. In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by an infant sister, Sharon Lee.

    She was a homemaker, a former tax preparer for H&R Block, and member of the Evans Church of God.

    In addition to her mother, other survivors include her husband, James C. "Butch" Christian; daughters and their husbands, Amy and Matthew Anderson of Sandyville, and Tina and Nathan Jones of Cottageville; grandchildren, Bradley Anderson and Grace Jones; brother, Carl Donohew of Evans, and Dennis "Buck" Donohew of Sandyville; sisters, Lola Prunty of Sandyville, and Bonnie Donohew of Ripley.

    Service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, with Pastor Benjamin Riggleman officiating. Burial will follow in Jackson County Memory Gardens, Cottageville. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today, at the funeral home.

    She was born March 27, 1931, in Leon, WV, a daughter of the late Abraham and Sylvia Lee (Sayre) Baker. Her husband, Basil Donohew; daughters, Sharon Lee Donohew, and Louise Christian; brothers, Harold Baker, Curtis Baker, and Russell Baker, and sisters, Irene Whittington and Genevieve Campbell also preceded her in death.

    She was a homemaker, enjoyed quilting, and attended the Evans Church of God.

    Survivors include her sons, Carl Donohew of Evans, and Dennis “Buck” Donohew, of Sandyville; daughters, Lola Prunty of Sandyville, and Bonnie Donohew of Ripley; 15 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.

    Service will be 1 p.m. Sunday, February 12, 2012, at Casto Funeral Home Chapel, Evans, WV, with Pastor Benjamin Riggleman officiating. Burial will follow in the Longview Cemetery, Evans. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

    His parents was Charles Melvin and "Lieu" Lou Verna Sayre Donohew. Russell Teddy Donohew, 49-year old resident of Evans, died suddenly at his home there of a heart attack Friday morning.

    Mr. Donohew became ill about ten o'clock in the morning and was dead within a very short time.

    He was a farmer (he also worked for WV State Road for many years) and a widely known and highly respected citizen of the county whose death came as a distinct shock to the family and his legion of friends.

    The funeral service was held at the Longview Methodist Church Sunday afternoon wit Rev. Fred Lemon officiating and burial with the Casto undertakers in charge was in the church cemetery.

    Surviving are his wife Laura; five sons, Basisl and Charles of Evans, Starling and Teddy of Harrison, Ohio, Brycle of Columbus, Ohio; two daughters, Mrs Alveta Irwin and Miss Leona Donohew of Columbus, Leola, Reba, and Doria at home; a brother Jess of Evans; a half-brother Melvin of Evans and a half-sister Mrs. Marie Miller of Evans, a stepmother, Mrs. Mamie Donohew of Evans, and 10 grandchildren.     Laura Pearl Donohew, 89, of Evans, WV, departed this life Oct. 19, 2002 in Jackson General Hospital, Ripley, following an extended illness
    She was born February 12, 1913 on Cow Run, a daughter of the late Theodore and Flora (Cossin) Fox.
    She was a homemaker, a personal care giver, and a member of the Evans Chuch of God. She also was a member of the Church of God Ladies Ministry.
    Survivors include her sons, Charles “Boog” Donohew, Brycle Donohew, and Teddy Donohew all of Evans; daughters, Leola Cunningham and Reva Patterson both of Ripley, Alveta Ervin of Columbus, OH, and Dorla
    Donohew of Parkersburg; brother, Carl Fox of Akron, OH; sister, Phyllis Silimac of Boca Raton, FL; 27 grandchildren; 48 great grandchildren; 5
    great great grandchildren.
    She was also preceded in death by her husband, Russell Donohew; sons Basil Donohew and Starling Donohew; daughter, Leona Brunty.
    Service will be 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 21, 2002 at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV, with the Rev. Benjamin Riggleman and the Rev. Darrell Tackett officiating. Burial will follow in the Longview Cemetery, Evans.
    Visitation will be 5 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
