Raymond McClure, 72, of Columbus, formerly of Leon, Mason Co., WV died Jan. 7, 1990, at home after a long illness.
He was retired from American Aggregate Corp., Columbus.
Surviving; wife, Beulah (Eulah sister is Beulah) Herdman McClure; sons, Larry of Columbus and Terry of Fredericktown; daughters, Jeanett Morris of Hilliard and Annette Schultz of Leon; half brother Wayne McClure of Columbus; half sisters. Deloris Nelson, Vera Barnhart of Columbus, Viola McDade and Daisy Durst, both of Leon; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Burial will be in Smith Cemetery.

Blake Leo Fox, 70, of Ripley, died March 8, 1988, in Jackson General Hospital, following a long illness.
He was born in Angerona, a son of the late Denzil and Velva Say re Fox. He was in World War II. U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Otterbein Church. he was a retired operating engineer and a member of the Operating Engineers Union Local No. 132.
He is survived by two sons, Jeffrey B. Fox of Evans and Wesley B. F ox of W ashington, D. C..; one Daughter Melissa Hatcher of Evans; three gr and daughters, Ashley Fox, Whitney and Kendra Hatcher.

Death of Edward Hartley
Monday evening Mr. Edward Hartley died at his home in Union Distric t. He w as stricken with paralysis two week ago and his death had been exp ecte d. He was 89 years old an a man of strict integrity, highest honor and enjoyed the respect of a large number of people. He was a large property owner and an influential man .
He is survived by seven children, Mrs. Hughey V. McCoy, who lived and cared for her father , Thomas Hartley, of Cow Run, J. C. Hartley of Missouri, Mrs. Jane Rowan, Kansas, P. S. Hartley of Salem, Oregon and Edward Hartley who is in South American. The burial will occur today at 11 o'clock at Flatwoods Cemetery. { Ravenswood News} (Mountaineer, 6 Jun. 19 13)

Hettie Herdman died at Providence. The birth records has born March 22, 1903 as being born dead. Parents E. and Hettie Herdman at Providence he was a saw miller. THE RECORDS AT COURT HOUSE ARE A BIG MESS.

Hoyt R. Hartley, 82, of Route 1, Coolville, Ohio, died Monday at his residence.
He was born at Cottageville a son of the late Stephen A. and Victoria K ng Hartley. He spent 52 years in Cottageville, Rt. on Cow Run and lived 28 years in Belpre, OH, and the last two at Coolville. He was a member of the Belpre Heights United Methodist Church, was a farmer and a caarpente, and was employed for several years was employed by the Stacey Lumber Co., Belpre.
Survives include his wife, Faye McGlothlin Hartley; one son, Herbert F ., Frederick, MD,; four daughters, Mrs John (Martha) Rexroad, Fleming, O H, Mr s, Virgial (Alice) Cunningham of Coolville, Route 1; Mrs. Leonard (Anna) McKitrick, Parkersburg, Mrs. Roy (Freda) Stephens, Lower Salem, OH; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three brothers, Theodore (Ted) Hartley, Richland, WA., Luther (Pete) of Morgantown, William H. of T roy, OH; t wo sisters Mrs. Alpha Conner of Modesta, CA., Mrs. Elizabeth Loudi, Richland, Wash.

They lived on the Stephen Hartley Farm just down the road from where my grandfather owned a farm Raymond E. Hartley. It is a large house with about 9 rooms in it The son Henery Martin Hartley now owns the farm.

John Henry Hartley, 78, of Cottageville died Sunday at his home after a two-months illness.
He was the son of the late H. T. and Laura Fennimore Hartley and was a retired farmer. He attended Antioch United Brethren Church.
Surviving are his wife, Eula Burgess Hartley; a daughter, Geraldine Sa yr e. Ravenswood; three sons, John Jr. of Parkersburg, Landon of Cottageville and Martin of Ravenswood; a stepson Richard Burgess, Huntington; four sisters Edna Stahlman Reedy, Lucy Hartley of Spencer, Grace Carlson of Barberton, Oh, and Ivy Lloyd of Republic, OH; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Josephine Sayre Hartley; and by a sister, Ruth Hartley.
Services will be held today (Wednesday), 2 p.m. at the Casto Funeral H om e, Evans, with the Rev. Curtis Sayre officiating. Burial will be in the Otterbein Cemetery.

Jr. The story goes he built the Cherry Grove Church on Cow Run for $400.00. It was completed and dedicated as a M. E. Church South, in 1894 this was in an article W. M. King wrote of Cow Run.

He was the son of Claudette Shaver of Evans and the late Blake Fox. He was born Aug. 19, 1958. He was a graduate of Ripley High School a nd the University of Washington, D.C. He obtained a degree in nursing from the Catholic University of America. He attend the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Surviving; brother Jeffrey of Evans and sister Milissa Hatcher of Bartlett, TN; three nieces, Ashley Fox, Kendra and Whitney Hatche r. Services wi ll be 4 p.m. July 4, at Sligo Seventh Day Adventist Church Tucoma Park, Maryland. Burial will be at a later date in the Otterbein Cemetery, Evans.

1900 census list him as William W. I had Wade William changed to William Wade, seem most had it that way. Record not always correct.
I am told that he had a son, named Very, but was never married.
I never knew he was a preacher.
