  • Notes
    • Ballynahinch, Ireland

This may or may not be the place where the Barr Family originated. I have nothing to prove or disprove my theory.
    • Another theory that I have read about the arrival of Isaac Barr in the United States was that he and his brother came here to cut timber. Again it is just hear-say, I can not prove nor disprove the theory.
    • I have seen some Ancestory posting giving date of death as 1835. A marriage certificate exist for Mary Campbell Barr to William Fife on 31 Jul 1835. A resonalble person would assume that Isaac had to die after the census in 1830 and 31 Jul 1835. The question is WHEN?
    • I have another theory on Isaac's date of death. He was alive for the 1830 census, first son John William was born in 1831, his second son, George Wesley Barr, was born on 4 May 1833. Using the old wives theory that the first baby can come anytime, the second baby always takes nine months Isaac would have to have been alive in the summer of 1832. Mary Campbell Barr married William Lewis Fife on 31 Jul 1835. Isaac died after the summer of 1832 and prior to July 1835.
