Jesse Hoyt (Hod) Herdman, 64, of Rt.1, Evans, died in Jackson General Hospital.
He was born in Cottageville, son of the late Ephram and Hettie Steele Herdman. He was a member of the Bethel Church and was retired from Crescent Manufacturing Co.
He is survived by his wife, Rosetta Michael Herdman; two sons, Leroy of Columbus, OH and Fred, of Grove City, Ohio, a sister Focie Stover of Evans and a brother, Aley Herdman of Cottageville. Burial was in the Longview Cemetery.

Focie Herdman Stover was a half sister to him.

Social Security WFT has birth 1913.

Grandson said he was known for his guitar playing and singing. I can remember my dad talking about Hod Herdman wish I could remember some of what he told. I can remember dad (Vinton Hoschar) saying he played the guitar. Dad worked with him some when they both were very young.
