Clara Louise Wandling, 79, of St. Albans, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2005, at Thomas Memorial Hospital, South Charleston.
She was a retired agent for New York Life, a self-employed caregiver, and a lifelong resident of
St. Albans. She is preceded in death by her husband, Wilmer D. Wandling; parents, Perry Valloe
and Hazel Bennett Sayre; and brothers, Robert and Russell Lee Sayre.
Clara is survived by her sons, John Wandling of St. Albans and Kenny Wandling of South Charleston; daughter, Linda Wandling of North Caroline; sisters, Mildred Parsons, Stella Doughty
and Betty Lynch, all of Dunbar, Norma Smith of Eleanor; brother, Roy Wayne Sayre of Buffalo;
two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 16 at Bartlett-Chapman Funeral Home,
St. Albans, with the Rev. Bruce Young officiating. Burial will be in Creston Cemetery, Leon.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
