John R. Fox, 65, of Evans, died at the Jackson General Hospital in Ripl ey Wednesday after a short illness
He was born in Evans, son of the late John and Ella Hughes Fox, he w as a farmer and construction worker.
He is survived by 15 nieces and nephews
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Casto Funeral Ho me in Evans, with Rev Armor Sayre officiating. Burial will be in the Lo ng view Cemetery near Evans.
He was never married.

John and Ella Belle Hughes Fox with ??
From Sissy - Well on #276 of course it is John and Ella Fox or as mom always said they liked to be called Pa and Ma Fox. This is who I think they are; Back row left to right Theodore Fox, Laura Fox Donohew, and Johnny Fox. Front row John, the little boy could be Carl Fox,(Someone else has identified the little blonde boy as Freeland Fox)
but I think he's kind of small for Carl so it could possibly be one of Laura's boys, Ella, and the girl (in the dark jumper/dress) I'm pretty sure is Phyllis Fox. Laura was Theodore's daughter by his first wife. Phyllis and Carl were by his second wife Mary.
