- Paul Eugene King, 70, of Evans, WV, departed this life, March 3, 2001 at his home, following an extended illness.
He was born February 18, 1931 at Evans, a son of the late, David L., Sr., and Hattie O. (Donohew) King.
He was a retired self employed builder and carpenter. He was a lifelong resident of Evans, and was a purple heart recipient and Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War. He was an avid hunter, and fisherman, and enjoyed camping.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Betty Ann (Randolph) King; son, Paul E. (Janet) King, Jr. of Evans; daughters, Karen (John) Woolley of Point Pleasant, NJ, Brenda (Donald) Rollman, and Denise (Rick) Hatfield both of Evans; brothers, Robert King and Troy King both of Evans, Charles King of Ripley and, Dr. David King, Jr. of Glendale, AZ; sisters, Betty Saye of Evans, Lucille Hanna of Carey, OH and Sandra Davis of Pulaski, VA; 13 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by sisters, Alice Mae King and Lona Marie King.
Service will be Tuesday, March 6, 2001 -- 2 PM at Longview Community Church, Evans, WV, with the Rev. Charles Cavender officiating. Burial will follow in the Longview Cemetery with military honors by VFW post #3488, Sandyville, WV. Visitation will be from 5 - 8 PM Monday at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to, Kanawha Hospice Care, Inc., 1143 Dunbar Avenue, Dunbar, WV 25064.
