Funeral services for Stephen Edward Hartley, six months old son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hartley , were held at the Antioch church on Sunday wi th Re v. John Loudin in charge and burial was in the church cemetery.
The child died at El Paso, Texas, last week where Mrs. Hartley who is the former Audra Lillian Sayre and the little son had gone for a visit with the Father who is serving in the army and stationed there.
Stephen was the oldest, then Micky, Randal, Sharon Sue, then Debby.
Nicholas "Nicky" Hartley the little son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hartley who died a few days ago was a victim of polio, according to a report received by the parents last week from physicians at the Staats Hospital in Char leston who had just completed an exhaustive test to determine the cause of his death.

Vanlinder Dick (Dix) Hoschar
Funeral services for Vanlinder Dick Hoschar, native of Jackson Co, W V. w ho died at his home in Paintsville, Kentucky, on Saturday, 15, November 1941, were held in the First Methodist church at Paintsville on Monday, 17 November. The body was brought to Huntington where burial was made in the Ridgelawn Cemetery, Mr. Hoschar, father of Mrs. Arthur Sallaz of this place had been ill for about a year. His death occurred on his eighty- forth birthday. A son of the late Andrew Kriner and Susanne U tt Hosch ar , he was born in Jackson Co. on 15, November 1857. He was unit ed in marriage 10, March 1875, to Martha E. Blazer. Who preceded him in death. Three children were born to this union, Mrs. Arthur Sallaz of Ripley, and Della and George Hoschar who preceded him in death. His second marriage was to Lecena Martin, now deceased at Racine, Ohio on 13, June 1894. To this union were born a son Charles E. Hoschar and a daughter Amanda M.
