Announcement is being made of the engagement and forthcoming marria ge of M innie Louise Anderson of Ravenswood, to Thomas Jay Cobb of Gay.
Ms. Anderson is the daughter of the late Carl and Alphia (Hoscha r) We st of Ravenswood. She is presently employed at Mt. Alto Aucti on in Mt. Al to.
Mr. Cob is the son of James (Sherman)and Lela Cobb of Gay, and is own er a nd operator of X-Pert Pools of Ripley.
The wedding will take place on Saturday, September 12, at 1:00 p. m. at t he Open Bible Church of Ripley. Rev. Raymond Skeen will be perfor ming t he ceremony.
Her obituary gave no children, but gave her as being survived by sever al n ieces and nephews.
Minnie Louise Cobb, 56, of Ravenswood, died July 10, 2000, at home a ft er a long illness.
She was a homemaker, a former assistant manager fort Solo and a former c oo k/cashier for the Mount Alto Auction Center.
Surviving: husband, Thomas Jay Cobb; sister, ruby L. Stewart of Ravensw oo d; several nieces and nephews.
Services was held Thursday at Casto Funeral Home, Ravenswood,. with t he Re v. William McMorran Jr. officiating. Burial in Morgan Cemetery, Rave nswood .
