- Minnie Louise Sayre, 78, of Ripley, WV, passed away March 7, 2015, in CAMC Memorial Division.She was born, May 3, 1936, in Ripley, a daughter of the late Carl Asbury and Mary Adeline (Hoschar) Casto. Her husband, Orville R. “Max” Sayre, and sisters, Macil Casto, Rebecca Suck, Mary Casto, Margaret Casto, and Hazel Casto and a stepdaughter Connie Jones also preceded her in death.
Survivors include her son, Dennis Martin of Sandyville; daughters, Patricia Hoschar of Ripley, and Joyce Tenny of Diana; grandchildren, Gage Martin, Max Martin, Kallie Anderson, Ethan Rollyson, Dusty Tenny, Amanda Tenny, Jennifer Jones Barner and Bryan Jones; three nephews, four nieces, and several special kids that she held as close to her heart and grandkids, Jeremy Carpenter, Celina Knott Luster, Todd Knott, Amanda Greathouse Sigley and Kira Cain.
Minnie was a homemaker, and personal caregiver to many. She was a craftsperson who spent time quilting, crocheting and sewing.
Service will be 1 p.m. Friday, March 13, 2015, at Casto Funeral Home Chapel, Evans, WV. Burial will follow in the Otterbein Cemetery, Evans. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to: WV Autism Center, 929 4th Avenue, Huntington, WV 25706.
